BIO

Sébastien Jurczys is a musical director, pianist, composer, arranger and stage director. Het got two master degrees from the Conservatoire Royal de Liège (piano and music pedagogy), and one from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (composition). 

In 2011, he creates his first multi-disciplinary show with a symphonic orchestra, two choirs et solo singers (among which Natacha Kowalski). He directs some musical theatre projects at the théâtre le Moderne with his  collaborator Sarah Cerri (Le Cabaret des Hommes Perdus, Into the Woods Jr., Once Upon a Mattress Jr.,…).

The Liège Philharmonic Orchestra plays his work in L’Orchestre à la portée des enfants (orchestra session for children). The Musiques Nouvelles ensemble (Jean-Paul Dessy) interprets other works after he got selected by the Tactus Young Composers Forum 2013. In 2017, he writes book, lyrics and score for Bottez Le Chat, a musical inspired by the famous tale Puss in Boots. From 2018 to 2021, he teaches piano accompaniment for soon-to-be teachers at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège.

Among other collaborations, we can find Voix d’Or and the French singer Slimane, the Trocadéro de Liège, Tobiarts Production (Damien Locqueneux),  Spectacul’Art (Vincent Fuchs), Ladiva Live, the American Musical Theatre in Paris,…

He’s currently working on RollMops Interactive (music for video game) and Various Voices 2026 (european festival of LGBTQ+ choirs) with Sing Out Brussels.
